I have worked this pillow with cotton yarn 8/9 and crochet hook 4.
The size is about 48cm and just right for a 50×50 pillow. I have used about 5 pieces 100 grams yarn.
You can use any yarn, keep in mind that the number of stitches varies for the size you want on your pillow.
I recommend you to test yourself.

Avsluta stycket med 2 varv fm, så början och slutet blir detsamma.
The back can crochet same as above, I have decided to crochet a different pattern.
Post the same number of stitches as above +1,
R1 (RS)1sc in the 3rd ch, 1hdc in each ch.
R2 (OS) Start round with 2sc, *1fpdc, 1bpdc*
Repeat Round2 until you reach the length you want.
I have chosen to crochet 2 pieces on the back to get inside cushion and close with buttons.
Crochet until it is about 20 cm left on the piece, cut the yarn to crochet / sew it in place. Remember to crochet / sew on the lower part of the back of your front piece. The second part should be so that it overlaps the second piece, so about 30cm. To get a buttonhole you work 3ch and skip 2 stitches evenly distributed over the piece. Make buttonholes 2 turns before finish.
When you work the lap after making buttonholes, work only with sc, around ch crochet 2sc . Crochet another row = finish with sc.
Good Luck!
